Wow & Cover Art: Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs

Patricia Briggs has displayed her next Mercy Thompson series cover, Silver Borne, on her web site.

This author has gotten lucky with her covers. Each one keeps getting better and better. Although, they aren’t exactly the same in every aspect but they are true to Mercy’s character.

Silver Borne is slated to release March 30, 2010. Patricia also announced that Ace, the publisher, “has contracted for a total of seven Mercy novels, and it's possible the series could go even longer.”

There’s no summary for this installment yet but I can assume it’ll be just as great as all the previous books in this series.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this one!

WoW: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Yeah, I tried my hardest to enter every ARC contest for this book but there just weren’t enough! Alas, the book will be released in less than a week. I’ve already pre-ordered it and am awaiting it’s arrival very patiently.

I never really did a formal review for The Hunger Games. There are a ton of them out there. If you’ve heard that it was good that is only the beginning of what I would praise it with.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

It was raw, emotional, adventurous, mysterious, awesome, and encouraging. It was one of the best books I read this year.

I’ve since then loaned my copy out to my good friend Kevin, my mother-in-law, my husband, who hasn’t opened the book yet but doesn’t know what he’s missing, and a cousin of my husbands. And I actually have two copies of The Hunger Games because I had ordered it just before I won a contest for it! They arrived within days of each other.

Therefore, if you haven’t read this book you really should. It does not disappoint. The fact that Lionsgate has purchased the movie rights shows that it has been recognized. I just hope they stay true to the book, even if that means an R-rated rating. They might get away with a PG-13.

I Want: Another Faust by Daniel & Dina Nayeri

So, I had planned to pick up an ARC of this book, Another Faust by Daniel & Dina Nayeri while at BEA but they were all out by the time I went there!

Luckily, I was in communication with Dina prior to BEA and she's having one sent to me! :)

Today they released a very cool promotional trailer. Check it out.

I'm really looking forward to reading this. The cover is pretty nice. Very sleek and elegant looking. The story line sounds very paranormal with a twist of mystery.

Here's the summary available from Daniel & Dina's website:

Waiting on Wednesday!

I love a good series. And a good series is the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning.
This series is a Balls Worthy series. It's totally kick ass!

So, today, Wednesday, I'm waiting for the next release! Dreamfever (Fever Series, Book 4)!

The other books of this series are:
Darkfever (Book 1)
Bloodfever (Book 2)
Faefever (Book 3)

They are chronological and should be read in order.

Waiting on Wednesday! YA Books Galore!

Two of my most favorite adult romance authors are branching out and releasing some YA books! Gena Showalter has previously written YA books but Rachel Vincent is a noobie! Her adult books can easily be enjoyed by YA readers as they aren't too steamy on the sex scenes but they are very graphic in other areas.

Rachel Vincent's upcoming YA release is My Soul to Take (Soul Screamer, Book 1)which is a series already written and ready to release with a total of three books I think .

Waiting on Wednesday: Fallen Angels Series by J.R. Ward!

Thanks to Ravenous Reader sharing with me a link to Katiebabs blog I'm sharing with you the amazing cover of J.R. Ward's new series of Fallen Angels!!

I'm also thrilled about the next Black Dagger Brotherhood book, Lover Avenged (Book 7)that is releasing on April 28th! That's two weeks after my birthday and actually my Mom's birthday. This book also has a great cover and an awaited story of a character I've been waiting to get to know and I can't wait to find out about all the back stories that go on in this series.

If you haven't read J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood seriesyou should! It's totally and completely kick ass. The "brothers" are strong and amazing characters. You get to know each one more and more and I love that each book is basically "their" book but each book continues with a few back stories, which is a huge reason that I love this  series. It's complex and incredibly entertaining. I hope she decides to keep writing this series and I look forward to the new series!
