Perfect V-Day Gift

What a cool and cute idea! It's rather pricey at $25 each.
I just might buy two.....we'll see.

Buy one of these glowing shirts for yourself, and gift one to your significant other (boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, fembot 2000...). During your normal activities two and a half pixelated hearts will light up on your shirt. Hey... you're depressed and in need of a recharge. But get within hugging distance of your significant other wearing the matching shirt and suddenly the hearts on both of your shirts start to light up until you're fully powered up. Go too far astray from the source of your affections and you'll drop back down to two and a half hearts again. Got it?

Into the Darkness By: Delilah Devlin

I started this book last night and boy was it a real hooker!
This story is proving to be one of the most erotic novels I've read so far. Not that I'm complaining!

So far I know that it's about a newly transformed woman vampire, Natalie, who is bloodlusting and lusting for a cop, Rene, who saved her from being pecked to death by pigeons. She's managed to find herself locked away in a room with Rene.... chained naked to a bed. And of course she helps herself to a little lovin'.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the story plays out. It seems like there's still something I'm missing about Natalie. Guess I'm wondering if all newly changed female vampires react the same way or is she different show how? Guess I'll find out!

UPDATE:
So, I finished this late last night. And boy, did I mention that this book was the most erotic I've ever read? I'm a sucker (puny!) for romantic vampire novels but this went beyond my comfort zone a little. Besides the romping every few minutes towards the end it spawned into a threesome between the 3 main characters. Holy smokes!

Any how, the story line was great. It was complex and complicated yet intriguing. Natalie ended up being a "Born", a child born from a born mother and human father. Borns are only female and go into their "moon phase" upon which they become sexually charged and will have sex with anything near them, practically. She ends up falling in love with Rene, and he returns the emotion. Only they both suffer from the lusting curse she has. That's why they end up with the threesome at the end. To save Natalie from those that hunt Borns they inlist the help of a mage to open a portal to a different time, I assumed, and Rene goes with Natalie to love her and raise their daughter. It was a different book than I'm used to reading just it was enjoyable, maybe just a little too much though.

Lover Enshrined By: J.R. Ward

I can't wait for this book to release! It is by far one of my most favorite series ever!

My friend Lori will also be excited. She'll have to buy this one herself though because I'll be getting the Kindle version and she will not be able to borrow it from me.

Heart of the Dragon (Atlantis, Book 1) By: Gena Showalter

Amazon.com: Heart of the Dragon (Atlantis, Book 1): Books: Gena Showalter

I'm reading the Kindle edition of this title but so far it's much better than her first two books, not that they weren't good. They were great, therefore, making this book fantastic!

I'm loving the setting of Atlantis. It is being portrayed as an amazing land of exotic and filled with fantasy creatures. My favorite thing about Gena's writing is her unbelievable ease of using humor throughout the book. Absolutely love it when I get to LOL.

Well, I finished it and it was just lovely. I'm not sure if I'll read the next one in the series or not.

The Pleasure Slave By: Gena Showalter

The Pleasure Slave By: Gena Showalter

This is the second book I read by Gena Showalter and it too was just as good at The Stone Prince.

In this story a young woman, Julie, purchases a small trinket box from a flea market only to find out that it's sort of like a genie in a bottle. Inside is Tristan, a pleasure slave, cursed to spend eternity to please women. Their wish is his command. The only way to free himself is to fall in love with a woman.

Julie does fall in love with Tristan and he too falls in love with her, yet he denies it until he finally comes to his senses.

This story was really funny. Gena Showalter does a great job with placing the main male character in the unfamiliar world and making them act strange and barbaric, i.e. smashing telephones and answering machines.

9/10 - it was a bit too much like the first novel.

I just started reading Heart of the Dragon by Gena and it's great so far! Loving it.

P.S. - All three of these titles I purchased in the Kindle Bundle. Great buy at $9.99 for all three titles.

The Stone Prince By: Gena Showalter

The Stone Prince By: Gena Showalter

This book was sooo much fun to read! The main character, Katie, has 5 older brothers, is a home repair/reseller, tough as nails and doesn't take crap from any man.

Not even a man made of stone.....

Jorlan, an alien warrior, cursed to spend over 900 years cast in stone, unable to move but able to hear, see, and feel (!!!) until he is kissed, but then he must have the kisser proclaim their love for him within two weeks or else he turns back to stone forever and ever.

These two make such a perfect pair it's funny, sad, and oh so endearing 'til the end of the book.

Gena Showalter is one of my now favorite writers ever.

Two-Way Street

Two-Way Street
This was a great book! Loved the format of the girl's, Courtney, and the guy's, Jordan, versions of their reason for breaking up, which was just too wrong. They agree to accompany each other after their break up to their college trip to Boston from Florida. It's a total mess with what happened during their relationship with their parents.

It was a story focused on honesty and the result of lying to the one you love. Both characters were funny and enjoyable to read about.

Loved it!
