Digital Tattoo Interface

This was a "notable entry" to the Greener Gadgets Design Competition 2008. If you ask me, I think it's brilliant and could see it developed and used.

It seems a bit scary to have it attached to an artery but then again this seems like a logical step into the future. It would be great to have a 24/7 blood monitor system installed. Imagine the possibilities.

Fingerprint Door Lock!

Wow. This is amazing! And it's pretty cheap at only $189.95 (limited time offer).

No more juggling around looking for keys that don't want to cooperate.

Visit the site directly at:
www.iqbio.com

Biometric fingerprint door lock
With the biometric fingerprint door lock, you can secure your home with the latest in technology and at the same time, you won’t have to worry about shared or lost keys. Just give it the finger. It’s the only key you’ll need. The lock only opens at your touch.

It’s super easy to install since it’s all built into the door lever. Fingerprints can be registered or erased directly with the lock on your door - and, if you have alot of friends and are very trusting, the lock will accommodate prints from up to 120 of your closest friends. Let’s face it, there are too many keys in use. It drives you nuts doesn’t it? It drives me nuts. Eliminate another key from your life and up your security at the same time.

Mana Potion!

I'm so ordering some of these. They are just too cool for school.

Patrick, Kevin, and I have started playing WoW again. We plan to have a marathon this weekend. These will help!

REVIEW:
I purchased a 6 pack of these from ThinkGeek.com. They arrived soiled. Well, they leaked causing quite the mess and at least one bottle was nearly empty and another was half empty. I did contact ThinkGeek.com and they gave me a partial refund ($10 of the $20 so I was happy).
The taste wasn't all that great. Since it's a low amount of fluid it was syrupy and tart. Not terrible but I'm glad it was any bigger. The effect of the drink was good. It did make me more alert, not hyper or shaky in the least. I wouldn't say it lasted 24 hours but it did last most of the day, and we drank it around 11am or so.

Mana Energy Potion

Mana Energy Potion

An immense power up in a tiny bottle

Everyone knows Mana gives you a big magic boost. Before now, that boost has been limited to virtual worlds and role playing games. But after casting a level 39 Spell of Epic Summoning, we finally have some Mana for realz. Each tiny 1.35oz potion bottle has as much kick as two 8oz energy drinks. Yeah, you read that right: one shot will keep you alert and ready to battle anything life or the afterlife can throw at you (and it's dang tasty, too).

Mana Junkie

Undead rebellion? Chug some Mana. Invading Horde? Chug some Mana. All night game-a-thon? Chug some Mana. Extreme coding fracas? Chug some Mana. Bladder overflowing? Well...go pee. And then, chug some MANA!

Depleted magic points, journeyers? For mere gold pieces...

Stephenie Meyer with Bella and Edward!

This is great picture. I can't even imagine how awesome this must be for Stephenie. To actually sit down with the actors who are playing her characters. She must be thrilled beyond words.

Edward looks better in this picture. It shows how tall he is. Much better.

Handsfree Umbrella!

Now, this is a great invention! But what about the rest of your body? It would be better if it had extended visors on all sides.

Hands-free umbrella will keep you dry
Do you carry an Umbrella when it rains? Many people don’t bother, because they know they will get just as wet whether they carry one or not. There’s just no point to it. That’s where the Nubrella comes in. It wants to protect you from the rain the way an umbrella should, protecting your head from all sides. It’s like your own personal transparent pod.

Another plus is that this umbrella doesn’t require any hands, which is good, because you usually have your hands full. There is a downside: This sort of thing is socially unacceptable and you will be mocked. But hey, you can be mocked, I don’t mind. It will pave the way for the rest of us to use it one day. You can pick one up for $60.

Evernight by Claudia Gray

Saw this book in the February 18 issue of Publishers Weekly, page 59. It sounds very Twilightish and I hope to find an excerpt to read in the meantime.

Evernight (Hardcover)
by Claudia Gray (Author)
Book Description

Bianca wants to escape.

She's been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where the students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.

Then she meets Lucas. He's not the "Evernight type" either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him.

"I couldn't stand it if they took it out on you," he tells Bianca, "and eventually they would."

But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.

  • Hardcover: 336 pages
  • Publisher: HarperTeen (May 27, 2008)
  • ISBN-10: 0061284394

    Official Twilight Cast Pictures

I don't like these pictures of the "Edward". He doesn't look like "my" Edward. I also don't like the Carlisle. He looks too old and not sexy enough. Alice's hair needs to be shorter. I like the Jasper. LOVE the Esme. She was in Grey's Antomy and she will be awesome as Esme. The choice for Emmett is good but the Rosalie isn't pretty enough, maybe if she were skinner?

All-in-all I think they did the best with Jasper and second would be Esme. The others could be better. Just my 2 cents.
