While I was entering the purchase in my book database I realized that I paid $2 more for the Kindle Edition than what the paperback is selling for on Amazon.com.

Enslave Me Sweetly by Gena Showalter

This is the second book in the alien huntress series by Gena Showalter. The first book was great and this one was even better in my opinion.

The story centered around Eden Black, a Raka, golden toned alien raised by a human Government assassin, who takes on a mission, she's an assassin as well, that she fails, in a sense.

After failing her boss, and her dad, Michael, makes her partner up with a human assassin Lucius, who is pure male gets under Eden's skin, in a good way. He's not like other men she's know; unlike her dad he admits when she does a good job and doesn't let her think bad of her self. He's a total emotional uplift that she desperately needed. They embark on one hell of a mission to target an alien who's selling slaves to the highest bidder. The funniest thing in the book is Lucius's jealously over a female canine that Eden adopts, and she names her Agent Luc. It's way too funny!

Can't wait to read the next in this series, but I'm going to save it for a later date. I'm running out of Gena books to read! I can't wait for her newest series to come out, the prequel comes out in early April.

The Undead Next Door (Love at Stake, Book 4) by Kerrelyn Sparks

Finished this lovely book last evening. It was an interesting vampire falls in love with a mortal story. Jean-Luc, a French fashion designer, moves to Texas to get out of the spot light so he can come back in 25 years posing as his son. He meets Heather at his grand opening of his new store because he caught her sketching his designs. Only he finds out that she's just what he likes in a woman. He's be relationship deprived for many years thanks to a rival vampire he's nicknamed Lui, who slays Jean-Luc's love interests.

A scene happens that Jean-Luc invites Heather to come work for him, and then Lui shows up, Jean-Luc asks Heather to sneak out the back but she doesn't and comes to his "rescue" by whipping Lui with silver looped belts. Strange? Yes, but it's the beginning of their crazy love story.

It wasn't crazy macho like some previous books I've read. It was a bit more believable and down to earth.
Overall, 8/10.

Another amazing paranormal romance by Kresley Cole. This is the 3rd book in her series, which is already planned to have six books with the 4th book coming out at the end of April.

This one was a major page turner! The plot was just amazing. Remember the first time you watched The Sixth Sense? Yeah, that's what this book was like. Intense story, intense love scenes, and an awesome ending to a much deserved couple.

I can't wait for the next book and I'm excited that it's not that far away.

This is the second book of The Immortals After Dark series that Kresley is writing. I read the first one A Hunger Like No Other in December.

I really, really, really loved this book! Dead Perfect by Amanda Ashley

This was a great vampire love story. Shannah is dying, follows who she thinks is a vampire, Ronan, home, and ends up pretending to be him, cause he's a romance writer writing with a woman pen name. During a book tour they end up falling in love with each other, all the while being stalked by a reporter and a vampire hunter. Shannah doesn't find out the truth about Ronan for a long time but once she accepts it all is well.

The story was written very well. I was so surprised of how much character information I learned. I kept thinking that the story would be ending soon but it kept going and I loved that. I really enjoyed it.

Awaken Me Darkly by Gena Showalter

Yeah, so if you haven't figured it out yet, Gena Showalter is just about my most favorite author ever! I can't stop reading her books! They are amazing!

I just, like right now, finished Awaken Me Darkly. It was totally kick ass, really. I couldn't get enough of this story. The lead character, ass kicker, Mia Snow, was amazing and her life was drastically changed in this story and I had a deep connection with her. Loved that the book was written from her point of view. I'm not sure if I'll go right in to reading the next book of this series. I like to switch it up.

Yup, I love Gena. She wrote another awesome book. This one was different cause it wasn't a paranormal. It was real human romance. And this was a personally signed copy too!

It was the story of a woman, Jillian Greene, who's father cheated on her mother, making the mother go emotionally unstable. She grew up to hate her father and all men in general. She labeled them as pigs. She got a job at Catch A Mate, where she played bait to make husbands of suspicious wives make a move on her. She had a dream to buy the company from her aging boss. Then one day Marcus Brody entered the all female office, as male bait and her unknown, new boss. They were instantly attracted to each other but each of them had sworn off the opposite sex and treated each other with hostility until they both realized that was their defensive moves to keep the other away from their hearts. It didn't work. At. All.

Ultimately, they were destined to be with each other. After what seemed like pulling teeth they came to their senses and allowed each other into their hearts and lives.

It was very humorous with multiple laugh out loud moments. Loved the sex scene in the backyard..... whoa!

Playing with Fire by Gena Showalter

Gena does it again! This was an amazing book. Full of wit and laugh out loud moments. It was a story much like X-Men where the good are trying to outrank the bad special people. Belle the star of the novel is like Spiderman. She ingests a formula that gives her the power to control the four elements. Of course she doesn't know how to control them at first so she does have a few accidents.

Gena did a great job with this book.

I'm off to start reading Catch A Mate by Gena. She sent me a personalized signed copy! I'm so thrilled!
